About the role
Do you want to help create sustainable water and wastewater solutions that make a difference for both people and nature? Ramboll Water in Sweden is looking for an engaged and technically driven Technical Manager for Water and Wastewater (VA) to join our unit, Water Infrastructure North. You will have the opportunity to grow within an experienced team and work on projects ranging from local assignments to national collaborations — with office locations to choose from in Falun, Uppsala, Luleå, and Umeå.
Your responsibilities
As the Technical Manager for Water and Wastewater, you will lead and be responsible for the design of water and wastewater pipe networks and associated facilities such as pumping stations, manholes, valves, and more. You will also work with external water and wastewater systems on private property, including the dimensioning of stormwater retention basins, detention, and purification measures. The role involves working in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects during early stages such as system planning and preliminary design, as well as preparing complete tender documents. Depending on your interests, there is an opportunity to deepen your expertise in areas such as green-blue infrastructure, modeling, and project management.
The team and location
You will become part of Water Infrastructure North, a unit with approximately 20 colleagues whose experience ranges from newly graduated professionals to experts with over 30 years of experience in water and wastewater technology. You can choose your base location between Falun, Uppsala, Luleå, or Umeå.
We believe you:
- Hold a university degree in construction/land/water/environment or equivalent technical high school education with relevant experience.
- Have several years of experience in water and wastewater design.
- Are unpretentious, positive, and helpful with good collaboration skills.
- Are receptive, responsible, and goal-oriented.
- Have good knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Fluently speak and write in Swedish and English.
- Are motivated to work with meaningful technology, find new solutions, and act as a consultant for clients — and thrive in a team where collegial support and trust-based leadership contribute to your development.
