About the position

Stortorp Elderly Care Home in Trångsund is located in a beautiful park area with a lovely view of Lake Drevviken. Here we offer a calm and pleasant environment where our main focus is to create a safe, meaningful, and dignified everyday life for our residents.

The facility consists of two units: Nygården with 47 apartments, of which 29 places are adapted for people with dementia, and Ekgården with 40 apartments for people with dementia.

We are a Star-rated facility, which means we work systematically and knowledge-based within dementia care. We constantly develop our working methods and strive for high quality, professional treatment, and person-centered care.

We are looking for you who want to make a real difference in people's everyday lives. As a nursing assistant with us, you work person-centered and base your work on each individual's needs, wishes, and conditions. You plan, carry out, and document care and support measures with a focus on seeing the person behind the illness.

The work is based on the Social Services Act and also includes health and medical care measures according to the Health and Medical Services Act after delegation from a nurse. Documentation is done according to current legislation and is a natural part of daily work.

We work with a "digital first" approach, where welfare technology is a natural part of care. Through, for example, safety sensors and digital locks, we can work more preventively, create increased safety, and give our residents more individualized care.

The position is for a permanent employment. Part-time 75%. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and every other weekend.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and have experience working with people with dementia. Knowledge of BPSD (behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia) as well as training in the dementia area is meritorious.

You work person-centered and based on the values of elderly care, where everyone's dignity, self-determination, and integrity are at the center.

The work is varied and sometimes physically demanding. Therefore, you need to have good work capacity, be able to prioritize, and keep your cool even when the pace is high.
