We are now looking for a specialist physician or senior consultant for our dedicated team in forensic psychiatry in Öjebyn, as one of our senior consultants is on parental leave during 2026.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry and have experience working in psychiatric operations. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you are a specialist in forensic psychiatry and have experience working in forensic psychiatric operations and in multidisciplinary teams. Clinical experience from adult psychiatry and/or forensic psychiatry is also an advantage.

What you will work with
We are now looking for a specialist physician / senior consultant for our operations in Öjebyn – an exciting assignment where you will work together with dedicated, experienced, and competent colleagues.
Here, you will meet patients with complex care needs in an environment where safety, law, and rehabilitation work together. You are part of a multidisciplinary team and have a central role in both daily work and the development of the operations.
The work includes tasks such as medical assessments and diagnostics, responsibility for medication treatment, and supervision of resident doctors (ST/AT) when needed. You actively contribute to care planning and the development of care content – always with the patient's best interest in focus.

Information about the position
The position is a temporary assignment for 9 months on a full-time or part-time basis. Working hours are scheduled during daytime. Start date is by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
The position is within psychiatry: Based on the nature of the operations and safety requirements, applicants to our operations must be prepared to provide extracts from the criminal record.
Norrbotten County applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
