About the position

Region Halland's Adult Psychiatry department conducts county-wide work focused on CBT treatment for patients with OCD. We are now looking for you who want to be part of our specialized OCD team in Kungsbacka. The team works based on evidence-based treatment methods using CBT. The treatment setup combines group therapy with individual patient contacts.

The OCD team is part of the outpatient psychiatry within Region Halland and is organizationally located at the Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Kungsbacka. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients with specialist psychiatric needs related to OCD. The work is carried out both individually and in groups and covers patients from the entire county.

The treatment is primarily conducted in our newly built premises in Kungsbacka, but the work may also include digital treatment sessions. If necessary, treatment is also conducted outside the clinic, for example, in the patient's home environment.

The position is for 50 percent. Region Halland offers you full-time employment. Extension of working hours may be offered at another workplace.

About the workplace

The outpatient care offers psychiatry close to the residents and has clinics in every municipality. Our operational focus, Right care at the right time! means continuous work towards increased quality, shorter waiting times, and better patient participation. Improvement work is ongoing and involves all staff, so you have great opportunities to influence the development of psychiatry in Kungsbacka.

The clinic in Kungsbacka consists, in addition to the OCD team, of two general psychiatric teams, an addiction team, and a psychosis team. The Adult Psychiatric Clinic (VPM) in Kungsbacka is a specialist psychiatric clinic with approximately 65 employees who work in a cross-professional manner, in collaboration with both inpatient care and primary care.

The other teams include doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, care assistants, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. The Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Kungsbacka has the mission to investigate and treat specialist psychiatric patients. The target group is people over 18 years old with, among other things, severe depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and suicidality.

The Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Kungsbacka is located approximately 20 minutes by train from Gothenburg and Varberg. Working hours are scheduled during the day.

Qualifications

We are now looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have a strong interest in treating patients with OCD. You need to have good knowledge of CBT and experience working with exposure-oriented treatments and the ability to work independently. It is meritorious if you have experience with psychiatric assessments, treatment planning, and diagnostics within general psychiatry.

As a person, you need to be flexible and ready to learn and try new things. The team is constantly developing, and you will get to be part of shaping this. We are a small team that works closely together, so it is important that you can collaborate in a non-hierarchical way with your team and with the general psychiatric clinics in Halland, as well as having a good attitude towards our patients. A driver's license is required as the work will involve travel to home visits and clinics in Halland. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
