We are now looking for a licensed resident doctor for a permanent position as a Specialty Training (ST) doctor at the Surgical Clinic at Hallands Hospital, located in Varberg.

About the position

Here, you will work in a role that offers exciting and varied tasks. You will work in our emergency department, inpatient wards, operating theater, and outpatient clinic. You will follow the framework for ST training, including supervision, relevant education for the role, and an individually tailored training plan.

About the workplace

The Surgical Clinic at Hallands Hospital is an organizational unit with three service points: Varberg, Halmstad, and Kungsbacka. The clinic provides both emergency and elective inpatient and outpatient care. At the first two hospitals, surgical emergency care is provided in addition to elective care. At Kungsbacka, elective outpatient care is provided. More specialized upper gastrointestinal surgery is located in Varberg, and vascular surgery is located in Halmstad. In total, there are approximately 250 employees at the clinic, with 72 beds distributed between Varberg and Halmstad. The medical staff at the surgical clinic currently consists of approximately 50 doctors.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed doctor with an interest in specializing in surgery. If you have completed ATLS training and/or have previous experience in surgical work, we consider this an advantage. As a person, you are goal-oriented, receptive, and humble in your work, driven by a desire to develop yourself in your role and improve the methods you work with. You collaborate well in a team and have a high focus on quality in your work. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
