Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you, together with other team members, ensure that patients receive optimal care. The tasks include psychiatric nursing, counseling/therapy, telephone advice, medication follow-up/management, follow-ups and assessments, as well as collaboration with the municipality and care partners.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30. For those who wish, there is an opportunity for daily carpooling from Halmstad and via towns along road 26 (Nissastigen) and Smålandsstenar.

About the Workplace

Psychiatry Halland is Region Halland’s administration for all public specialist psychiatry. This includes psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care. Psychiatry is led by an administrative director, business managers, and ward managers.

The outpatient care offers psychiatry close to the residents with clinics in every municipality. The adult psychiatry clinic in Hylte has the mandate to investigate and treat specialist psychiatric patients. At the clinic, nurses, social workers, and medical secretaries work full-time, while doctors work part-time via video link. The clinic is characterized by a strong forward-looking spirit and uses digital solutions to create good accessibility, despite geographical distances, to clinics with a broader range of services.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Specialist education in psychiatry is an advantage, as is experience working as a nurse in psychiatric care. Since the work involves travel, a class B driver’s license is required.

You are interested in psychiatry and have confidence in your role as a nurse. The team structure requires a stable and flexible employee. As a person, you are motivated by constantly improving the operations with the patient's best interest as the primary starting point. You have good cooperation and initiative skills and work both independently and in a team. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
