What does the job as a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?

A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for you who are skilled in your professional role and enjoy meeting people in various situations. Together in the team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

We are looking for you with a genuine interest in the elderly person, where your main tasks are to design safe and secure personal care and support. You support the resident in their daily life and create conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with good, high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in the implementation plan.

This includes among other things:

• Work as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept Your Day.
• Personal care and support, and utilizing residents' own resources.
• Work based on Norlandia's concept Tasty Meal so that our residents appreciate the food and that the meal experience adds a golden touch to everyday life.
• Documentation according to the Social Services Act; maintaining a social journal and creating and following up on implementation plans.
• Plan, offer, and carry out daily activities, outdoor excursions, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
• Perform service tasks such as apartment cleaning, laundry, escorting, and shopping, etc.
• Receive and perform delegated tasks such as medication delegation.
• Take responsibility in ombudsman roles.
• Actively participate in the organization's quality and improvement work.

About Sannagården Elderly Care Home

Sannagården is an elderly care home located in central Tvååker. There are 30 apartments distributed across 4 units, one of which is for persons with dementia. The units are small with 6–8 residents per unit.

We are now looking for two substitutes for the night shift, as a couple of permanent night staff members will be on vacation and parental leave.

• You must have a certificate of right to use the professional title nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).
• Previous experience within care and support is meritorious.
• You need to have good skills in documentation.
• You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• We appreciate that you have good computer skills.
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Other information

Employment type: Temporary position, night shift

Scope: Approx. 80%

Start date:

• Temporary position 1: Sept 1 – Dec 31
• Temporary position 2: Sept 30 – Dec 31

We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the temporary position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to present a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (criminal record extract). You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
