The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on individual needs and offer interventions grounded in several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This may involve providing older people with a secure and meaningful daily life, supporting individuals with disabilities, or being there for children, young people, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

We collaborate across professional boundaries – both within our own department, with other parts of the municipality, and with external actors. To ensure quality and development, we actively work with follow-up, improvement efforts, and digitalization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a care assistant with us means being an important part of people's daily lives. You will use your care and engagement to make a difference every day. We are looking for you who want to contribute to creating security, continuity, and good care for people in need of support, whether in their own homes, in special housing, group homes, or within social psychiatry.

As a care assistant, you provide support in daily living activities to people in need of care and support. This can involve help with personal care, meals, mobility, and creating a meaningful daily life for the user. The work is based on individual implementation plans and aims to strengthen the individual's independence and participation.

You work closely with colleagues and other professions, and it is part of the role to document interventions according to current guidelines. The role requires good communication skills, flexibility, and a professional attitude – always with the user's needs at the center.

The work takes place during the day, evenings, and weekends, depending on the needs of the operations.

The work may involve working at other units in the form of resource shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in the role, you need to be confident in yourself, have a respectful approach, and want to contribute to a good work climate. You need to be thorough, service-oriented, and able to adapt to the needs of different people.

The work requires good teamwork skills, but also the ability to take responsibility and work independently. It is important that you are sensitive, attentive to changes, and can handle both routine situations and more unexpected events in daily life. You need to be able to document according to current routines.

We also look for you to have:

• Care assistant education
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Category B driver's license, if required by the operations.

Experience from elderly care, disability support, and/or social psychiatry is meritorious.
