The Fortification Agency is looking for a Property Technician for Gotland. Region East's operations are carried out in Stockholm and Gotland County, and this position is located in the Gotland operational district, covering the entire island. The Fortification Agency is a government authority, and our mission is to ensure the availability of secure buildings and roads so that we can protect Sweden in the event of a crisis or war. Our tenants are the Swedish Armed Forces and various state and defense-related authorities. Our property portfolio is diverse, consisting of many different types of buildings as well as training and firing range areas.
Your daily work – contribute to total defense
Region East's operations are carried out in Stockholm and Gotland County, and this position is located in the Gotland operational district, covering the entire island. We are now looking for an additional Property Technician with a focus on roads, land, and parks. You will perform supervision and maintenance on roads, paved areas, and facilities within training and firing ranges. You will work with a mix of machine operation and manual labor, such as using tools, brush cutters, and chainsaws, as well as administrative tasks. You will also work with corrective maintenance, planned maintenance, and supplementary services, while developing and improving working methods and routines together with the team. The role involves many customer and contractor contacts, and you will work safely and efficiently, both independently and in a group.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have at least a high school education. You must also have a BE driver's license and machine training for tool carriers, chainsaw certification, and brush cutter operation. Furthermore, you have good computer skills and can work independently in administrative IT support systems. A Class B driver's license is required.
It is an advantage if you have a Class C or CE driver's license, operator certificates for wheel loaders or excavators, or authorization for plant protection products or road work. Knowledge of welding or repairs, experience with gravel road maintenance, experience as a client in contracting, aerial lift training, and knowledge of the Swedish Transport Administration's road maintenance are also meritorious. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities. To succeed in the role of Property Technician, you need to have good teamwork skills and a communicative work style. You are structured and can quickly find solutions to emerging problems. You can also handle stress in a constructive way.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be war-placed. The location is Gotland. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
