to apply for the job

You are the person others call when the electricity, control systems, or instruments are not behaving as they should.

You thrive when you get to troubleshoot, find the cause, and get the facility running again. You enjoy understanding how the entire process fits together and appreciate a role where you can use both your technical competence and your judgment.

We are now looking for a technical specialist in electricity and automation for our combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Strängnäs.

This is not a pure PLC role, nor is it a traditional electrician role. It is a broad specialist role where you will become a key person in our work to develop and ensure the operation of our entire electrical installation and our automation solutions.

A role where your competence makes a difference

At the CHP plant in Strängnäs, we produce district heating, electricity, and steam for both residents and industries in the surrounding area. We are a small team with short decision-making paths and work closely together to keep the facility safe, stable, and efficient.

We are currently building on our maintenance organization and are looking for you who want to be part of this journey. With us, you will receive great trust, broad technical responsibility, and the opportunity to influence how we work moving forward.

About the role

You will become our specialist in electricity and automation and work closely with both production, maintenance, and external partners.

This means that among other things, you will:

  • Be responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical installations, instruments, and control systems.
  • Ensure that sensors, frequency converters, motors, and other components function as they should.
  • Work with control and regulation technology to ensure a stable and safe process.
  • Read, update, and create electrical and circuit diagrams.
  • Plan and coordinate contractors for major projects and renovations.
  • Participate in projects, improvement work, and technical investments.
  • Act as a requirement setter and technical contact for our PLC and automation suppliers.
  • Contribute to developing our maintenance organization and working methods.

PLC programming is performed by external specialists. Your role, instead, is to understand the systems, ensure the right solutions, and be the technical link between the operations and our partners.

We believe that you...

...have a few years of experience from process industry, combined heat and power, energy facilities, or other industrial operations where electricity, instruments, and control systems are a natural part of everyday life.

You don't need to know everything, but you have a broad technical understanding and enjoy solving problems where several disciplines meet.

We believe you have experience with:

  • Industrial troubleshooting within electricity and automation.
  • Control and regulation technology.
  • Instrumentation and process-related equipment.
  • Electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Collaboration with contractors and suppliers.

Having worked at a CHP plant or other process facility is an advantage, but the most important thing is that you like the combination of technology, problem-solving, and responsibility.

Why choose us?

There are many companies looking for technicians.

With us, you get something that is harder to find.

You become part of a smaller team where we know each other, help each other, and are close to the decisions. Here you do not get a narrow specialist role where you only are responsible for a small part of the process, but here you get to work broadly, influence working methods, and be part of developing our operations.

We are looking for someone who wants to stay for a long time, become an important part of the team, and help shape the future CHP plant in Strängnäs.

With us, you also get:

  • Work with a socially important mission where your experience is needed
  • Become part of a small and tight-knit team
  • Be close to both the technology and the decisions
  • Opportunity to influence how we develop our working methods
  • A workplace where people help each other and have fun together
  • A generous reduction in working hours
  • Health allowance
  • Good insurance and employment conditions

Does this sound like you?

If you are looking for a broad technical role where your experience is valued and where you have the opportunity to influence both technology and working methods, then we hope you want to get to know us. You are warmly welcome to apply!
