Arla Plast is a leading manufacturer and supplier of extruded sheets in technical plastic materials with a wide range of applications, including safety products, machine guards, ice hockey rinks, greenhouses, pool covers, sound barriers, luggage, vehicle parts, and other construction-related applications. The company is headquartered in Borensberg and has a total of six production facilities in Sweden, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Finland, as well as a distribution unit in Germany. Arla Plast has an annual turnover of approximately 1,400 MSEK, employs around 400 people, and supplies more than 1,200 customers in over 50 countries.

About the role

As an Automation Electrician, you will become part of our Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Team is a crucial part of our production organization, where you will also work closely with maintenance mechanics. Together, you will be responsible for developing, securing, and optimizing production through technical improvements and smart solutions.

You will work in a production environment with a fleet of machinery consisting of extrusion machines, post-processing equipment, and other advanced production equipment. Your tasks will include troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance work, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repair work. Documentation is handled in the maintenance system MaintMaster.

You will naturally move between independent work and close collaboration with colleagues, which requires both initiative and team spirit. This role suits you if you thrive in an active and changing production environment with a varying pace, where you have the opportunity to influence and develop technology in your daily work.

Working hours are during the day, 06:00–14:30, Monday–Friday, with on-call duty every fourth weekend.

The position is to be filled as agreed and is a permanent position starting with a 6-month probation period.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have a technical foundation in electricity and automation and who thrive in a role where you can combine problem-solving with practical work in production. You have an understanding of how deviations occur in production and are accustomed to analyzing causes, recognizing patterns, and developing sustainable solutions that reduce the risk of recurring problems.

  • Education in electricity and automation, preferably post-secondary.
  • Experience in troubleshooting flows and processes, preferably with support from digital interfaces.
  • Good ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Practical experience in maintenance work in an industrial environment.
  • Experience working in maintenance systems.
  • Previous experience in the process industry is highly meritorious.
  • Experience with PLC programming is meritorious.
  • Forklift and crane licenses are meritorious.
