The demand for security technology solutions within the defense industry continues to grow. As a subsidiary of BAE Systems Bofors and Saab Dynamics, Nobeli is in an expansion phase. This increased need means that the Security business area is now strengthening the team in Örebro/Karlskoga with an experienced designer.

Here, you will become part of an experienced specialist team consisting of project managers, designers, constructors, and technical product specialists. Together, we deliver security technology solutions to customers with high demands for safety and quality, primarily within the defense industry.

About the role

As a designer, you are responsible for independently driving your design assignments from requirements to finished documentation. The work includes system design, technical documentation, and coordination throughout the entire design process. You report to the Project Manager and collaborate closely with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Designing and documenting security technology installations according to customer requirements and applicable regulations.
• Developing solution proposals, drawings, installation basis, and installation documentation.
• Driving your own design assignments and ensuring quality, functionality, and delivery.
• Participating in project reviews and collaborating with project managers, customers, and suppliers.
• Providing technical support to customers and colleagues.
• Planning and structuring your own work.

You also contribute to the development of design processes, documentation structures, and standardized technical working methods.

Location: Karlskoga/Örebro or Linköping

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in design, preferably within the security industry or related technical fields. You have a good understanding of how complex security systems are built and thrive on combining technical detail work with customer dialogue and collaboration.

You work in a structured manner and see documentation as a natural part of a well-executed project. At the same time, you appreciate finding smarter ways of working and contributing to the development of both processes and technical solutions.

Requirements for the position:

• Relevant education, minimum high school level.
• At least five years of experience in design.
• Experience in designing security technology installations.
• Proficiency in CAD and other relevant design tools.
• Good computer skills and experience with the Office suite.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have experience with relevant regulations, installation technology, or security systems such as ARX, Milestone, or similar platforms.
