Technical Division and Nyköping Water

The Technical Division operates its own activities and consists of five business areas: Municipal Properties, Nyköping Water, Waste Management, Streets/Parks/Harbor, and Meal Service. These are supported by an economics department, a project department, and an administrative staff. Approximately 400 employees work in the division, which has an annual turnover of over 1 billion SEK. Our clients are the Municipal Executive Board, the Environment and Urban Planning Committee, and the Culture and Leisure Committee.

Nyköping Water is responsible for all water and wastewater operations within the municipality, which involves the operation, maintenance, and development of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and pipe networks. The operations include 7 waterworks, 3 water towers, 12 wastewater treatment plants, 90 wastewater pumping stations, a pipe network of 900 km, and its own water laboratory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Nyköping is an expanding municipality, which places demands on a well-developed and functioning pipe network for the residents. We are now looking for a Pipefitter for the Pipe Network unit at Nyköping Water. As a pipefitter, you will, among other things, work with the installation of new pipes as well as the operation, maintenance, and service of the existing pipe network. You will also handle acute problems such as water pipe leaks and sewage blockages.

On-call duty may be included in the work according to schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

A completed upper secondary education with a focus on pipefitting/construction work, or professional experience that the employer considers equivalent.
Experience as a pipefitter.
Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Good computer skills.
Category B driver's license.

Advantageous qualifications include:

Category BE or C driver's license.
