The student cafeteria is an important meeting place where students and staff gather for coffee, studying, and community. Job Responsibilities

As a school host, you are responsible for the school's student cafeteria, including planning, purchasing, sales, and daily operations. You create a welcoming and pleasant environment where students and staff feel welcome.

The role involves maintaining an ongoing dialogue with students about the cafeteria's offerings and development. You collaborate with students from the school's restaurant program, including future bakers, and supervise students undergoing internships in the cafeteria.

An important part of the assignment is social presence. Together with the school's youth leaders, you contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment by being available for students who need support or someone to talk to. You also actively work on developing social activities and creating community related to the cafeteria.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a high school diploma and experience working in a school environment. You have experience with purchasing, sales, and service within restaurant or café operations, as well as knowledge of hygiene, basic food handling, and cash handling systems. You have also worked in a cafeteria, preferably in an environment with young people, and have experience supervising and meeting young people in a role focused on social activities.

As a person, you are tidy, structured, and self-initiating with a good attitude towards everyone you meet. You have an easy time building relationships and feel confident in interactions with students, even in situations where you need to prevent and handle conflicts. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, take responsibility for the cafeteria's operations, and use your creativity to find solutions in daily work.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
Working hours: Daytime. Monday-Friday.
