Do you want to contribute to safety and security in a socially important operation? Tranås Municipality is now looking for an Incident Commander and Fire Inspector with overall responsibility for preventive fire and rescue services.

DUTIES

As an Incident Commander, you will have overall responsibility for preventive fire and rescue services in Tranås Municipality. Your main tasks will include supervision according to the Act (2003:778) on Protection Against Accidents and the Act (2010:1011) on Flammable and Explosive Goods, as well as processing referral cases within the planning and building process. You may also act as a support to other authorities as an expert in building technical fire protection and provide advice to individual citizens in the municipality. Your participation in the unit's development process is expected. We have a flexible organization, and you must be prepared to help with other tasks when needed. Based on your own interests, there is also an opportunity to adapt the content of the role to some extent. On-call duty as an Incident Commander, primarily within Tranås Municipality, every fourth week, is included in the position. The rescue services in Jönköping County have a very extensive and well-functioning cooperation, both operationally and in planning, known as Räddsam F. Therefore, there are good opportunities for those who wish to develop in their work to participate in the various working groups and projects driven in the county.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a fire officer training, or alternatively another suitable education within the field of rescue services, where Rescue Command A / 1 is a minimum level. If you have additional or other competencies in the area such as fire engineer training, SMO training, Rescue Command B / 2, supervision A or A/B, this is of course meritorious. A category B driver's license is a requirement, while class C and E are meritorious.

The position is security classified, which means that a security investigation with register check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.

ABOUT THE WORKPLACE

The Rescue Service is responsible for fire protection issues, operational interventions, and protection against accidents. We have a pleasant work environment with many driven employees with different professions and backgrounds. The Rescue Service is a unit within the municipality and has approximately 35 employees. Collaboration occurs to a large extent with other authorities and municipalities in the county.
