The position of Security Coordinator belongs to the Safety and Security Unit, which is part of the Municipal Executive Office and reports directly to the Municipal Director. Our mission is to strategically lead and coordinate the municipality's safety and security work. We work, among other things, with crime prevention, information security, data protection, security protection, crisis preparedness and civil defense, internal security, and insurance. Within these areas, we work in a supportive capacity towards the municipality's operations.
Your assignment
As a Security Coordinator, you have a central role in supporting the municipality's operations in systematic safety work. In your assignment, you lead the municipality's strategic crime prevention work based on the laws we are required to adhere to. This is done in close collaboration with the Police Authority.
Within the unit, we have different main areas that we are responsible for, but we see the work as a team game and support each other. We work closely with the municipality's various administrations to support them in measures within the areas we are responsible for.
The work includes conducting information and training sessions, producing and being responsible for various steering documents, plans, responding to inquiries, etc. Collaboration is a large part of the work, both internally and externally.
Your main tasks will include among other things:
- Coordination of crime prevention work in relation to legal requirements in the municipality
- Actively contribute to developing and managing the municipality's crime prevention work
- Production of situation analysis, mapping, cause analysis, action plan
- Participation in planning, implementation, and follow-up of crime prevention measures
- Lead and coordinate the local crime prevention council
- Coordinate the municipality's ANDTS (Critical Infrastructure Protection) work
- Coordinate the work with the municipality's insurance
- Conduct information and presentations
Your profile
We are looking for you who have an academic degree, preferably in criminology, crime prevention work, or other education and/or experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Office package, a valid B driver's license, and Swedish citizenship.

You have an easy time expressing yourself target-group adapted in Swedish, both in speech and writing. You are structured, self-initiative, and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and carry out your work within given timeframes. Your combination of analytical ability, holistic view, and good judgment enables you to contribute to both safety and development in the organization.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Knowledge and/or experience from work with crime prevention work, internal protection and personal security, security protection, information security, or civil preparedness
- Experience of investigative work, project management, and leading groups
- Previous work with collaboration with authorities or other actors within crime prevention or security issues
- Experience with the EST method
- Experience with ANDTS issues
- Experience with insurance work
- Previous work experience within public operations

The position will be placed in a security class. Security clearance with register control will take place before employment. Approved security clearance is required for employment.
