About the role and your responsibilities

As a Senior Information Security Specialist, you work systematically to support the business in working in a risk-based manner from a cybersecurity perspective. The role involves leading and driving change, taking responsibility for smaller projects, and switching between strategic development and operational work. You will work in a complex environment where risk management, regulatory compliance, and the business's needs must be balanced to create efficient and robust information management.

The work consists largely of supporting the business in conducting risk and GAP analyses, communicating overarching cybersecurity requirements, holding workshops, and leading and driving change within the cybersecurity area. Designing and contributing to internal policies and processes to protect information is also part of the responsibilities. The role requires staying updated on new threats, vulnerabilities, and legislation affecting information security. Information security work is conducted according to the ISO 27001 standard, and we comply with the Cyber Security Act.

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in information security work.

You must have good knowledge and experience of the following:

• Risk analyses and evaluation thereof
• GAP analyses and follow-up thereof
• Change and project management related to information security
• Development of governing documents within information security
• Procurement work from an information security perspective
• Standard ISO 27001
• Information security work related to the Cyber Security Act

It is positive if you additionally have experience of:

• Public sector operations
• The Cyber Security Act and the Data Protection Regulation

To succeed in the role, you need to enjoy working together with others in a results-focused environment where high-quality delivery is an obvious goal. At the same time, you have the ability to plan, prioritize, and lead your work independently. You take initiative, follow up, and show both curiosity and drive in your processes. You feel confident in leading change and working in project form within the information security area.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, and you easily absorb information and professional literature in the field in English.

You have a university education or other post-secondary education combined with current and relevant experience in the field of information security.

About the workplace

The Information Security and Data Protection Unit has an exciting mission! Our work ranges from regulatory compliance to business development and covers the entire municipal organization and all its business areas. The unit's mission is to harmonize the municipality's information and data protection work, create clearer direction, and drive our joint work forward based on the group's combined ambitions regarding digitalization. The working group consists of a CISO, a data protection lawyer, and information security and data protection specialists who together are responsible for establishing common ways of working and ensuring coordinated support for all the municipality's operations.
