As a nursing assistant with us, you will have a varied and exciting job where you learn something new every day! For us, collaboration and communication are very important, both in the operating room and in the work group. As a nursing assistant, you are an important resource for both the team and the patient. Together with the operating room nurse and the anesthetist nurse, you are responsible for preparing the operating room before and after surgery. You prepare the patient, gather instruments and the like for the procedure to be performed, set up the operating table, technical equipment, assist with sterile setup and anesthesia preparations. During the operation, you are responsible for supplying the team with instruments and materials as well as documenting. We are a high-tech department with high hygiene requirements, which requires precision and understanding of the perioperative process. You will work with both planned and emergency surgeries.

About you

You are a trained nursing assistant. We would like you to have experience from surgical operations and work in a hospital. You enjoy working in a team and have an interest in technology within healthcare. As a person, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, and you have an interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. Central Operation is part of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Kalmar County Hospital and is divided into three sections: surgery, orthopedics, and special. At Central Operation, there are 15 operating rooms, and we serve the specialties of general surgery, urology, orthopedics, gynecology, obstetrics, ENT surgery, dentistry/oral surgery, ophthalmology, and medical care. We also work with robotic surgery. The unit performs approximately 10,000 operations annually, and we have approximately 120 employees.

Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an acute hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and neonatal care. More than 2,300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's inhabitants.
