About the Role

As an Account Manager at Schmitz Cargobull, you will play a central role in our sales team, responsible for both new business acquisition and the development of existing customer relationships. You will work independently to identify business opportunities, prospect new clients, and drive deals from initial contact to closure. At the same time, you will nurture long-term relationships with current customers and lay the groundwork for continued growth within your territory. Together with your colleagues, you will actively develop the market and grow the business across central and southern Sweden. Your primary focus will be selling our high-quality trailers and associated financial solutions. The role involves approximately 15–20 overnight stays per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active prospecting and new customer acquisition
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Build, develop, and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Plan and conduct client visits for both new and existing customers
  • Manage the sales process from first contact to closure
  • Work systematically with follow-ups, customer activities, and pipeline management
  • Collaborate with colleagues and internal functions to deliver the best possible customer experience

About You

We are looking for someone with several years of B2B sales experience who thrives on creating new business while developing long-term customer relationships. We expect you to currently work within the transport, vehicle, or a closely related industry, or have prior experience in this field and feel confident engaging with customers in this segment.

You thrive in an autonomous role where you take full ownership of your territory, customers, and results. With a structured and methodical approach, you plan, prioritize, and follow up on your activities to drive business forward throughout the entire sales cycle – from initial contact to closure and beyond.

As a person, you are proactive, results-oriented, and highly self-motivated. You are comfortable reaching out to new prospects and are driven by creating business through long-term, systematic selling. You also have a strong ability to understand your customers' operations and translate their needs into commercial solutions that create value for both parties. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, and hold a valid driver’s license (Category B).
