About the workplace

Eye Clinic Halland has reception activities in Halmstad, Varberg, and Kungsbacka. We are open Monday to Friday and are closed on public holidays. With approximately 85 employees at the clinic, we work together to provide the best possible specialized eye care to patients in Halland.

We work in teams with several different professions to offer safe, accessible, and person-centered care. We value collaboration, participation, and continuous development. Job Responsibilities

As an orthoptist, you work independently with the investigation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients with:

• Strabismus (Squint)
• Double vision (Diplopia)
• Amblyopia
• Binocular vision problems

You are responsible for your own patient visits and collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, opticians, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries at the clinic. The work covers both child and adult patients and offers great variation and independence. In Halmstad, we perform ROP examinations and carry out strabismus surgery.

You are also expected to contribute to the development of the practice and to create good patient meetings with high quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

You are a driven and engaged licensed orthoptist who is eager to learn new things and contribute new ideas. To succeed in the role of orthoptist, you have the ability to organize your work and adapt to changed circumstances in collaboration with other colleagues at the clinic. It is an advantage if you have experience working in specialized eye care, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates.
