Your new workplace

We are looking for a colleague for the group home on Baldersvägen in Haga. The activity is aimed at persons covered by person group 1 according to Section 1 of the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The group home collaborates with an adjacent group home, and the activities share, among other things, a common outdoor area. We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in working with people and who see each individual from a holistic perspective. As a support assistant, you are an important part of creating a safe, developmental, and meaningful everyday life for the care recipients. In the role, you work pedagogically and systematically to provide support based on the individual's needs, prerequisites, and wishes. You contribute to strengthening the care recipients' participation, independence, and influence over their daily lives. The work is based on the LSS Act, other applicable legislation, as well as the municipality's value base, political goals, and other guidelines.

How you contribute in the role of support assistant

The role involves:

• Providing support, care, and assistance to the individual, as well as supporting the individual in participating in meaningful activities in various ways.
• Supporting the individual in daily activities such as personal care, meals, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Working with documentation, implementation plans, follow-ups, and deviation reports.
• Structuring and planning the work based on directives set by the employer.
• Performing health and medical care tasks on delegation from nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
• Following work methods and common approaches, routines, and guidelines.
• Actively participating in competence development.
• Having areas of responsibility and assignments both within and outside the regular workplace.
• Actively participating in meetings, goal-setting, and planning days, etc.
• Actively contributing to the development of a good quality activity and providing ideas for changes and improvements in the activity.
• Participating in the introduction of new staff and supervising students based on the unit's routines.
• Collaborating with the care recipient's network, other staff, and other partners.
• Performing other recurring tasks.

The position includes work during inconvenient hours (evenings, nights, and weekends).

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have education as a support assistant, assistant nurse, treatment assistant, caretaker, or other education assessed as equivalent.

Language: Good knowledge of Swedish.

IT skills: Basic computer knowledge, ability to work/order/register in various activity systems.

Other: Swimming skills and water confidence are required.

Meritorious: Experience working with low-affective interaction, clarifying pedagogy, and AAC & PECS (Augmentative and Alternative Communication / Picture Exchange Communication System), as well as previous experience working in similar activities.

Salary: Monthly/hourly salary. Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied.

Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly salary follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions' website, www.skr.se
