1 position(s)

Do you want to help develop the social services of the future while driving quality development within Individual and Family Care (IFO)?

Boxholm Municipality is now looking for a Benefit Assessor who wants to strengthen quality, legal certainty, and development within Individual and Family Care. Together, we are driving the transition towards a more accessible, preventive, and sustainable social service – based on the new Social Services Act.

With us, you get not just a job – you get the opportunity to make a real impact.

About the role

We are in the middle of an important development journey where we are reviewing and strengthening our working methods. As a Benefit Assessor, you will have a central role in this work and become an important part of driving and developing quality in the operations.

You will have the opportunity to combine qualified public authority exercise with an active responsibility to develop and strengthen the quality of the operations, as well as drive improvements in working methods and processes.

As a Benefit Assessor, you work with public authority exercise according to the Social Services Act (SoL), with the target group of the elderly. The assignment also includes case handling related to the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), where good knowledge and understanding of the legislation is important.

The position also includes:

  • Case handling and assessment of measures according to SoL
  • Case handling of travel assistance matters
  • Estate administration
  • Collaboration with internal and external actors
  • Active participation in change and development work related to the new Social Services Act

We work for a more cohesive, legally certain, and individual-oriented working method – where you get to influence how the assignment is shaped moving forward.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker or have other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience with public authority exercise according to SoL and knowledge within LSS as well as IBIC. Experience with travel assistance and estate administration is meritorious, but not a requirement.

You are:

  • Confident in your role as a Benefit Assessor in making decisions and working in a politically governed organization
  • Structured, responsible, and professional, and have the ability for self-leadership
  • Engaged in quality development and have a desire to contribute to improvement and development
  • Interested in development work and new working methods as well as environmental scanning
  • Skilled at expressing yourself in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing

Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis.

  • An active role in transition and reorganization to meet the new Social Services Act
  • A close and supportive work climate
