No two workdays are alike. As a relief cook within our Meal Service, you will work in several of our kitchens in preschools, schools, and elder care facilities. You will meet new colleagues, develop your skills, and make a significant contribution by providing quality, service, and joy in food where the need is greatest. Meal Service is now seeking several dedicated cooks for relief positions in our kitchens within preschools, schools, and elder care. Our kitchens are located in Svedala, Bara, and Klågerup. We offer both short-term and long-term relief positions, for example, during sick leave, parental leave, and other planned absences. The Role

As a relief cook, you become an important part of Meal Service and contribute to ensuring our guests receive good, nutritious, and sustainable meals every day.

Bookings can be made with short notice on the same morning for urgent needs, but also well in advance for planned absences and longer relief positions.

Based on your experience, competence, and independence, we match you with the kitchens where your skills will shine the brightest. This could be a smaller preschool kitchen where you independently manage the entire day's production, or a larger school or elder care kitchen where you work together with an engaged team of colleagues.

When you arrive at a kitchen, you are expected to quickly familiarize yourself with the routines and treat the kitchen as your own for the day. You work independently while becoming part of the team, contributing a positive, professional, and service-oriented attitude.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving meals according to menus and recipes.
• Preparing special diets according to the facility's routines.
• Working according to current routines for food hygiene and self-control.
• Performing daily cleaning and maintenance routines.
• Contributing to a good work environment and reporting deviations.
• Building good relationships with guests, colleagues, and facilities.

Competence

We are looking for you who have:

• Cook training or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience working in large-scale kitchens or restaurant kitchens.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, self-control, and special diets.
• Good computer skills and the ability to use digital operational systems.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Working Hours and Duration

We are seeking cooks for both short-term and long-term relief positions, with start dates as agreed. Working hours are scheduled according to operational needs, during daytime.
