Our services are used throughout the Government Offices and at over 100 Swedish embassies and consulates worldwide, often in environments with separate and specially protected systems where requirements for stability, security, and availability are very high.

We are now seeking Network Technicians who want to take a key role in developing and managing our network infrastructure.

About the role

As a Network Technician, you will manage, develop, and secure the Government Offices' separate and security-classified network environments. You are responsible for the entire network infrastructure – from switches and routers to firewalls and encryption equipment – and are involved in the modernization and further development of our network platforms.

The role is largely operational, focusing on operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, but also involves strategic responsibility where you contribute to the design and creation of future network solutions. You are expected to work innovatively, with an analytical approach, and contribute an architectural perspective to the development of secure and robust environments.

You collaborate closely with other IT technical areas and contribute to a stable, secure, and long-term sustainable infrastructure that is central to the Government Offices' operations.

Your background

To be considered for this role, you must meet all mandatory requirements and preferably also the merit-based criteria.

Requirements:

• Upper secondary school diploma.
• Several years of experience in network operations in Linux and Windows-based environments.
• Experience in designing, configuring, and further developing and optimizing network infrastructure.
• Experience with physical network infrastructure.
• Work experience with monitoring tools and log analysis.
• Experience leading and driving technical initiatives and projects.
• Work experience with WAN/LAN and VPN.
• Work experience with advanced configuration of routers, firewalls, and switches.
• Proficient user of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Merits:

• Relevant university degree.
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification or equivalent training.
• Experience in testing and verifying networks and network components.
• Experience in network operations within security-classified IT environments.
• Experience with total defense common security systems.
• Experience working with protected information.
• Experience in signal protection.

Other information

This advertisement concerns a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period.

Start date by agreement.

Emergency work outside regular working hours may occur.
