About the role
As a System Engineer, you work with managing, developing, and ensuring the operation of the Government Offices' client and server environments, as well as business-critical systems. You are responsible for ensuring that our platforms and services maintain high availability, performance, and security, while also contributing to the modernization and further development of our technical solutions.
The role is largely operational with a focus on operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident management, but also involves strategic responsibility where you contribute to the development of future IT platforms. You are expected to work proactively, with an analytical approach, and contribute to creating secure, efficient, and robust solutions for the business.
You collaborate closely with other IT technical areas and contribute to a stable, secure, and long-term sustainable IT environment that is central to the Government Offices' operations.
Your background
To be considered for this role, you must meet all requirements and preferably also the merit criteria.
Requirements:
- University education or other work experience relevant to the position deemed equivalent.
- Several years of experience in server operations, system administration, or infrastructure in complex environments.
- Several years of experience with Windows-based server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Work experience with virtualization environments such as VMware, Hyper-V.
- Work experience with backup solutions and operational monitoring.
- Work experience with segmented IT environments.
- Work experience with automation and scripting, e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with hardening of applications and operating systems.
- Knowledge of analyzing logs and identifying anomalies.
- Knowledge of networks and their components.
- Experience with advanced troubleshooting.
- You can express yourself fluently in Swedish and English.
Merits:
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience with implementing multi-factor authentication.
- Experience working in security-critical environments.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with information security work, preferably within government, defense, banking/finance, or other regulated sectors.
- Experience with container solutions.
- Knowledge in various IT areas, e.g., databases, PKI, or total defense common security systems.

This advertisement concerns a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period.
Start date by agreement.
On-call work outside regular working hours may occur.
