Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Within the First-Line Social Services, we work to make it easier to receive support early on – for children, young people, adults, and their families. Our five units offer a broad range of support spanning from preventive measures and parental counseling to field work, school social workers, youth clinics, social intervention teams, support for relatives, open activities for adults and families, and family law services.
We are looking for a stable colleague for the Reception Unit for Children and Young People. Here we work side by side, and we place great emphasis on supporting each other in daily life. You will become part of a team where care, collaboration, and professionalism go hand in hand. The unit is led by a team leader and unit manager who are close by and create security in the work.
We offer
We offer you close supervision in a positive environment where you can develop and contribute to the organization's goals. The position involves flexible working hours, the possibility of holiday swapping, a wellness allowance, and a good gym available in the administrative building.
To ensure you have a good work life with us, there are several benefits for you as an employee of Stockholm City. Here you can watch a film about what it is like to work with us.
Your role
With us, you will contribute to developing our working methods in line with the new Social Services Act and strengthen collaboration with other actors to identify and support children in need of protection early on. The role includes, among other things:
- Receiving and assessing reports and applications according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU).
- Conducting urgent protection assessments and safety planning.
- Being responsible for processing cases in close collaboration with colleagues.
Your skills and experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- A degree in Social Work (Social Work degree).
- Experience working with reception work within children and young people, other parts of the social services' authority execution, or preventive activities.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience working with SoL, LVU, BBIC, Signs of Safety, and MI.
- Experience in conducting protection assessments, preliminary assessments, and safety planning.
- Experience with the case management system Paraplyet.
We are often the first point of contact with social services for families, which makes it important that you have good relationship-building skills and a professional approach. You have a stable attitude and the ability to adapt to different situations. Furthermore, you are development-oriented and have good collaboration skills, as we work closely together in the team.
Other information
In this recruitment process, you will answer a number of questions where you describe your competence in the area instead of sending a cover letter. When assessing your application, we will base our evaluation on your CV and your answers to the selection questions.
Before employment becomes actual, extracts from the criminal record will be requested. Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis.
Stockholm City works with competency-based recruitment aimed at looking at each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
