We are now looking for an engaged and responsible personal assistant for a woman in her 70s with MS. She lives in Västerås. As an assistant, you will make a difference in her life and have the opportunity to help a person live life on the same terms as others, as far as possible. The role means you will become an important part of her daily life and contribute to security, development, and quality of life.

The work includes everything from care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various assistive devices, and help with activities. The workplace is in her home and wherever she is. Working hours are scheduled for nights, both on weekdays and weekends. We would appreciate it if you could also work with short notice when needed, e.g., due to illness.

Since you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for and by your specific user, it is important to have good work ethics where everyone supports each other. We also look for availability during the summer and holiday periods.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We prefer that you, as an applicant, have a flexible and independent work style and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility based on the individual's needs. You should have good competence in documentation and a professional attitude. You should have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people.

Other desirable qualities for this job include a good mood, calmness, patience, and being responsible. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish, as good communication is very important in this job. Experience in personal assistance is a significant advantage.
