Lilla Edet Municipality is now looking for a Local Planning Officer who will primarily be responsible for the municipality's overarching local premises supply plan and the associated investment process. In this role, you will lead the work on creating the premises of the future. The position is centrally located within the Finance Department.

The Finance Department plays a central role in the municipality's operations, working to ensure sound financial management, quality-assured reporting, and well-founded decision-making materials. Through our work, we contribute to the optimal use of the municipality's resources, enabling operations to be conducted efficiently and sustainably.

Your Role

The position of Local Planning Officer is a new role established to strengthen the municipality's conditions for providing functional operational premises in the long term. The municipality has several major premises projects in the coming years, including new construction and reinvestments, particularly within the education sector, such as the development and new construction of preschools and schools.

As a Local Planning Officer, you will primarily be responsible for the municipality's strategic work on local premises supply, the overarching local premises supply plan, and the associated investment process. You will also drive the larger projects in a client role, working in close collaboration with the respective sectors and AB EdetHus. In this role, you will also work on planning and optimizing the use of existing premises within the municipality. This involves analyzing premises needs, proposing changes, and coordinating projects to create functional, efficient operational premises and good working environments.

Together with colleagues, you work to ensure our customers have premises that are fit for purpose.

The work entails that you:

• Lead the work on the municipality's local premises supply process
• Compile and be responsible for the municipality's strategic local premises supply plan
• Act as the client for the implementation of approved premises projects
• Work on premises optimization and efficiency, developing key figures for premises usage
• Support operations in needs analysis and local planning

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a confident and courageous leader with a genuine interest in public environments and their opportunities within the public sector. You are both strategic and operational, with the ability to create engagement, structure, and results. You have relevant academic education and experience in leadership, both as a manager and a colleague, in complex development issues. You have experience in management work with a development focus, as well as project and process management. We would prefer that you are an experienced manager who has worked in a politically governed organization and have a good understanding of municipal operations.

Formal requirements:

• You have a relevant academic degree in construction/property/architecture or economics, or equivalent competence assessed as equal by the employer.
• Experience from project and process management.
• Ability to express yourself well orally and in writing.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, inspiring, and target-group-adapted manner.
• Experience from public administration and work in a politically governed organization.
• Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish.
