As a communicator at SVT, you will become a vital link between the audience and the organization. You will answer questions via email, phone, and social media, and contribute to engaging dialogues across SVT's channels.
About the role
Academic Work is looking for a Digital Communicator for SVT's Public Dialogue department. Here, you will become part of SVT Communication, which works with communication and marketing to strengthen the relationship with the audience and contribute to an engaging public service offering.
In this role, you will participate in the dialogue with SVT viewers by answering questions via email and phone with a professional and personal approach. You will also work with documenting and feeding back the audience's feedback internally to contribute to the development of the operations.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with viewers and provide information in a pedagogical manner via email, phone, and chat channels.
- Gather and document audience reactions and suggestions for development.
- Stay updated on SVT's offerings and services to proactively handle challenges and opportunities.
- Participate in joint team-building activities and meetings.
We are looking for someone who
- Is studying a university or college degree with at least 1.5 years remaining in fields such as journalism, media, or communication.
- Has the ability to formulate yourself accurately and effectively in writing.
- Has experience with phone communication, for example from customer service or similar roles.
- Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English.
- Is available to work 3 shifts/week during varying times and days.
It is an advantage if you
- Are up-to-date and knowledgeable about SVT's offerings.
- Have knowledge of journalism and/or the public service mission.
- Have an interest in societal issues and monitoring the world around us.
Knowledge can be acquired through education, experience, or self-study.
To thrive in this role, you are a communicative team player who also works independently. You have an interest in people and information, are stress-resistant, and easily understand viewers' needs. Since Public Dialogue is an event-driven operation, you need to be flexible and able to switch between different tasks.
