We are now looking for a Senior Physician in Clinical Chemistry for SYNLAB Sweden, based at our central laboratory in Täby. We are looking for someone who sees this as an exciting opportunity to eventually take over the medical management responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Handling test results requiring medical comments
  • Supporting department staff and providing training when needed
  • Participating in the selection of equipment and materials, and in the validation/verification of instruments/methods
  • Participating in external and internal quality assurance
  • Writing and approving relevant documents in the management system
  • Providing advice and training to customers upon request
  • Supporting the Medical Director with specialist competence
  • Taking over medical management responsibility for the department when needed

About You
As the position is within an accredited activity where great importance is placed on standardized working methods, we are looking for someone who has

  • experience as a specialist physician in Clinical Chemistry
  • knowledge of, and preferably practical experience with, Swedac regulations and accreditation standards such as ISO 15189
  • good knowledge of current laws and regulations within healthcare
  • good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • experience in method and technology validation. Documented experience in implementing, evaluating, and approving new clinical-chemical analysis methods and equipment
  • scientific competence, e.g., doctoral degree and ongoing research projects
  • good pedagogical skills and mentoring experience
  • experience and interest in business development and change management. E.g., previous managerial roles, project management, or participation in large IT and system implementations
