We are now looking for you who want to lead the support processes for premises, security, and environment within our administration Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health.

About the role

The role involves managerial responsibility for employees working with premises, security, and environmental issues at the Department of Operational Environment, which is part of our administration's Management and Operational Support (LOVS). You report directly to the Administration Director and are a member of the Administration Leadership Group.

You collaborate closely with our area managers, as well as our Financial Controller, Quality and Development Manager, and HR Manager, to ensure that operations receive the right support to develop. The assignment involves leading support functions that, together with the managers and employees of our operations, create stable and functional conditions for the business, so that it can continue to deliver high-quality healthcare.

You are responsible for planning, leading, following up, and developing work within premises supply, security, and readiness, as well as the environment. You monitor relevant legislation and participate in regional forums, while simultaneously driving development work at both the administration and regional levels together with other managers. You have five subordinate employees and are expected to work primarily at a strategic level, but also at an operational level with the current processes.

The position involves broad regional contacts within and outside the administration. Location in Halmstad with travel within Halland.

About the workplace

Management and Operational Support (LOVS) for Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health has, in addition to the Department of Operational Environment, also the departments Quality and Development, HR, Finance, and the administration's Chief Physician. LOVS comprises a total of approximately 30 people.

The administration Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health operates in all municipalities in Halland, both on hospital grounds and in premises outside them, and comprises approximately 1,350 employees. Based on Region Halland's vision "The Best Place to Live," Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health works for good health among the population through its three areas: Ambulance Transport and 1177 by phone, Health and Disability Support, and Medical Diagnostics.

In our operations, expecting couples receive support at the Women's Health Clinic, and younger residents get help on their path to adulthood at the Youth Clinic. Sampling units, radiology clinics, and screening programs guarantee residents an updated health status, and healthcare advice is provided around the clock via 1177 by phone. Furthermore, we secure ambulance transport, habilitation, assistive devices, and ambulance care. Our employees are the key to conducting a high-quality operation. Our starting point is always the patient and the resident of Halland.

Qualifications

You have a relevant university degree and at least three years of managerial experience. You have competence and experience from at least one of the areas: premises, security, and environment. Experience of working in the public sector is meritorious.

You have a good ability to plan and develop support functions based on the operation's needs and economic conditions, and you understand what it means to lead support processes through the operation's managers. You have knowledge of labor law and systematic work environment work. Experience of development work and change management is important, as is knowledge of crisis management and staff methods.

To succeed in this role, you need good leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate your team. Your self-awareness and personal maturity enable you to handle challenges with calm and reflection. As a person, you are a clear and communicative leader with a holistic view who works in a goal- and results-oriented manner, creating engagement and trust. Since the role involves leading processes together with line managers, who lead much of the execution, the ability to create good relationships and collaboration is important. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Since the position may involve handling security-sensitive tasks, a security clearance check and placement in a security class will be conducted before the position is assigned. Approved security clearance is a prerequisite for the appointment to the position.
