The Heart Center in Umeå aims to provide the best care for heart patients in northern Sweden. We offer highly specialized cardiac care and have overall responsibility for the county's patients.

The Heart Center includes the Cardiovascular Clinic, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, the PCI Lab, the Arrhythmia Unit, as well as Clinical Physiology and the Center for Cardiovascular Genetics. We investigate, treat, and operate on patients from the entire northern region with diseases of the heart, lungs, and coronary arteries. By collaborating across boundaries, having efficient care chains, working with continuous improvement, and employing competent staff, we can offer care of very high quality. In close collaboration with the university, we conduct research, development, and education. We have approximately 400 employees at the Heart Center.

At the Cardiovascular Clinic, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, social workers, medical secretaries, and doctors work together. We collaborate across professions to provide good care and develop the operations for the better.

You will meet a broad and varied patient group with cardiovascular diseases, such as atherosclerosis, heart failure, and arrhythmias. The clinic also treats patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), adults with congenital heart defects (ACHD), and patients after heart transplantation.

We are now looking for a nurse to join our wonderful team at the Cardiovascular Clinic. Here, you will find a well-functioning clinic with joy in work, knowledge, and an open climate. Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that make people feel secure.

In the role of a nurse with us, you work with follow-up of patients after completed interventions and surgeries for conditions such as heart attack, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. You provide information, counseling, and support regarding the disease, treatment, and lifestyle habits.

You collaborate closely with doctors and other professions. The work includes own clinic visits, as well as follow-up of patients via phone and digital contacts.

The job also involves working with standard clinic tasks such as telephone counseling, communication via 1177, patient administration, documentation, as well as planning and coordinating visits and interventions. The role offers great opportunities for personal responsibility, development, and specialization within cardiac care.

You work both independently and in a team, with responsibility for your own patient flows within the clinic's various assignments, using a person-centered approach based on each patient's needs, resources, and participation. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to a good work climate and professional treatment where the patient's needs are always at the center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with experience in cardiac care.

Experience in clinic work and/or specialist nurse within cardiac care is meritorious.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are confident in your profession and have a person-centered approach. You have a good ability to work independently, while also valuing collaboration and contributing to a good work climate.

The work involves many contacts with patients, relatives, and different professional groups, which requires good communication skills and professional treatment. You are structured, flexible, and have an easy time prioritizing and adapting your work based on the operations' and patients' needs.
