Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Region of Västra Götaland and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Primary Care Hospital, Högsbo Primary Care Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide good, safe, and high-quality specialist healthcare.

About Us

The Lifestyle Clinic at Angered Primary Care Hospital aims to find new, innovative, and more active ways to motivate individuals to change their lifestyle habits in order to reduce health inequalities in the population. The clinic works to reach individuals and groups with unhealthy lifestyle habits who, for various reasons, are difficult to reach with current interventions of this kind.

The work at the Lifestyle Clinic consists of two parts: individual visits and collaboration with civil society, care neighbors, and other actors in the health promotion arena. Visitors apply to the clinic themselves, and we make ourselves accessible to visitors through outward-facing collaboration and the dissemination of information through health guides.

The Lifestyle Clinic, like the Public Health Unit, is structured according to the UN principles on the right to health, which are included in the Convention on Human Rights. The principles are availability, accessibility, acceptability, and quality (AAAQ).

Who Are We Looking For?

To our Public Health Unit, we are looking for a health scientist who enjoys conducting individual health conversations with the unit's visitors and collaborating with society locally.

We are looking for you who have a degree in health sciences with a specialization or further education in lifestyle habits, or equivalent competence. Experience working in the voluntary sector, other parts of civil society, or within healthcare is desirable.

It is also an advantage if you have experience in a multicultural area and have a focus on person-centered work and want to work on strengthening individuals' trust in their own abilities.

You enjoy working independently and systematically and are pedagogical in your approach. You have empathetic skills and the ability to be creative in your work, thinking outside the box.

Conditions

The position is daytime, part-time approx. 60% by agreement. The employment is a fixed-term contract (temporary position) for the period 1/10/2026 - 31/12/2027.
