About the role

For those interested and knowledgeable about supply security with a focus on electricity supply, there is now an opportunity to step into a strategic role where you will help develop how actors within the electricity supply sector can increase their ability to handle disruptions and heightened readiness. You will interact with actors within the electricity supply sector and will be part of a team with extensive combined competence and a strong collaborative spirit. We expect you to have broad and significant experience, as well as a strong interest in societal issues. You will work in a complex context where many different actors have interests in these matters.

In the role of Electricity Preparedness Specialist, you will work with the following:

• Contribute to the development of Sweden's electricity preparedness support by the Electricity Preparedness Act.
• Process cases and analyze issues to strengthen the electricity supply's ability to handle severe disruptions and heightened readiness.
• Collaborate with actors within the electricity supply sector, colleagues at Svenska Kraftnät, and other actors outside the electricity supply sector.
• Investigate/assess whether measures should be implemented according to the Electricity Preparedness Act, write electricity preparedness decisions, and respond to consultations.
• Conduct analyses and investigations and prepare decision support materials within the area of electricity preparedness.
• Participate in the development of internal processes and guidelines and revision of guidance documents to support external actors within the electricity supply sector.

The position is located in the Electricity Preparedness and Dam Safety unit, which handles the electricity preparedness mandate. The unit currently consists of approximately 17 employees and 1 consultant. The unit is divided into two thematic areas: electricity preparedness and dam safety. The unit belongs to the Safety and Preparedness department, which has just over 100 employees. The position is permanent and located at one of our offices in Sweden (read more below).

You have a sharp analytical mind and the ability to quickly grasp complex issues where you are strategic and understand and have experience working in large organizational contexts. With a structured working method, you plan and carry out initiatives that strengthen electricity preparedness. You are results-oriented and driven by creating concrete improvements that make a difference. At the same time, you are collaborative and enjoy working together with colleagues, authorities, and other actors to achieve common goals. It is important in your role as an electricity preparedness specialist that you have good collaboration skills, as you collaborate to a high degree both internally in different groups and with actors within the electricity sector. We are looking for someone who is flexible and thrives in a changing environment, who takes initiative and responsibility for developing our socially vital work. Education:

You must have an academic education in a relevant field, e.g., as a political scientist, lawyer, engineer, or natural scientist, or alternatively have equivalent knowledge acquired in another way, which can be assessed as equivalent.

You also have:

• At least 5 years of relevant and current experience working within supply security or similar areas.
• Experience in analysis and/or investigation work.
• Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Meritorious

• Experience in developing requirements and steering documents.
• Experience with total defense issues.
• Experience in producing authority decisions.
• Experience working in the public sector.
• Experience from driving collaboration bodies.
• Experience from electricity supply.

Good to know

• The position is located at our headquarters in Sundbyberg, or alternatively at one of our offices in Västerås, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Luleå, or Sollefteå.
• Some possibility of remote work, up to 50% when the tasks allow.
• Travel occurs in this position.
