We are looking for a Support Pedagogue for Duvetorp (LSS 3)

About the job

At Lidköping Municipality, we actively work to shape support for people with disabilities in a way that strengthens the individual's self-esteem, thereby enabling good living conditions based on the individual's wishes and needs.

We are looking for a Support Pedagogue who wants to drive the development of working methods and pedagogical approaches in our operations together with current pedagogues and support assistants. The Support Pedagogue is part of the work group and is involved in the daily work.

LSS 3 includes two group homes and one service apartment for people with disabilities with varying support and care needs.

Responsibilities

As a Support Pedagogue, you will develop, plan, evaluate, and lead the pedagogical work, while also being part of the day-to-day work of supporting residents in their daily lives. You are expected to drive method development and provide methodological guidance to your colleagues, based on the individual's needs and interests. You will also be responsible for pedagogical assessments and mappings to find the right support and adaptations for each individual resident. Working with set goals together with other colleagues and being involved in creating implementation plans are also part of your role.

We work in a team-based manner and actively focus on strengthening the residents' self-esteem and independence, with a focus on the individual's strengths, knowledge, and resources. Support Pedagogues also collaborate with other operations and professions, such as LSS nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and day activities. As a Support Pedagogue, you will be part of a network and have regular meetings with other Support Pedagogues in the municipality.

Who are you?

You must have education as a Support Pedagogue, and experience in the profession is a requirement.

You are confident and independent when working with clarifying pedagogy, adaptations, communication, and challenging behavior. It is natural for you to work in a team-based and non-hierarchical manner. You have a talent for planning and evaluating and have a strong sense of responsibility regarding supporting colleagues and being active in the development work done in consultation with other employees and the unit manager.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where sensitivity, creativity, and independence are important qualities. Furthermore, you have a professional, reflective approach and the ability to collaborate with the individual, relatives, colleagues, and other professional groups. The job places high demands on working pedagogically in a structured and clarifying way, seeing the big picture, and having the ability to lead and guide other employees in groups and individually.

We are looking for you with a big heart who, with engagement and determination, wants to help develop our operations further.

A B-category driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

Other information

In our operations, all those to be employed to work within the disability sector must, according to law (2010:479), present an extract from the criminal record register to the hiring manager. The form to be used can be downloaded from Polisen.se. It usually takes between 1–2 weeks to receive it by mail, and it must be shown before employment begins.

You will work scheduled hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call duties, and will be scheduled together with the other operations. The position is a probationary appointment for 6 months, which can then be converted to a permanent position at 100% with the possibility of desired working hours.

Your employment will be within the Sector for Social Welfare at Lidköping Municipality, which means you may be required to work at other units.

Salary range: We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For this position, the monthly salary is between 34,900–42,500 SEK depending on experience, education, and competence.

We apply a 6-month probationary period.

Criminal Record Extract

Before offering employment, you as a candidate are obliged to present an extract from the criminal record register for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in other operations than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work in or in connection with HVB homes (residential homes for youth), work with the elderly or people with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
