Government Accounting, Financing, and Analysis
As a qualified accountant at Försäkringskassan, you play a central role in the agency's financial work. Those of us working in the Accounting area are responsible for, among other things, the closing process and financial reporting, including reporting to the government accounting. We work on developing the agency's external and internal accounting and ensure that the agency correctly applies government accounting principles. In addition to ongoing accounting, advisory and standardization in financing and accounting matters constitute a large part of the assignment.
In your role within the Accounting area, you work with both ongoing accounting and more development-oriented issues within the accounting field. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the tasks included in the monthly and annual closing, as well as the reporting made to the government accounting. You contribute to developing and managing models for internal accounting and cost allocation of the operations, and you support the operations in financing matters.
As an accounting expert, you work closely with the Business Control area and its financial controllers and business controllers.
The role includes:
- Working with ongoing and advanced accounting tasks and participating in closing work
- Developing and being responsible for guidelines and standards within the area of responsibility
- Providing advisory support in accounting matters to managers and operations
- Analyzing the consequences of different financing methods and operational changes
- Participating in and driving the development and improvement of financial processes and internal routines.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who are to work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for someone who
- has an academic degree or experiences/qualifications that can be considered equivalent
- has at least 5 years of experience in advanced accounting work, including work with closing and annual reports centrally within a larger organization or agency
- has a systematic and meticulous work approach
- acts on own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- has good communication skills, in Swedish, both spoken and written
- collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.
It is meritorious if you
- have experience working within a government agency
- have experience working with multi-financed operations
- have experience with internal accounting and cost allocation
- have experience with financial control at an agency-wide level.

1 position, permanent, full-time, with start date as agreed. Probation period may apply. Remote work is possible if the job allows.
