Sollentuna is a municipality in development with the goal of being Sweden's most attractive municipality. At the Care and Social Services Department, we work closely with our seniors and people with disabilities, always basing our work on their needs and wishes. We collaborate with politics, associations, pensioner organizations, and service providers, and have recently undergone an organizational change to create even clearer roles and better conditions for continued development.

The department consists of approximately 100 employees and is responsible for elderly care and care for people with disabilities. We function partly as a purchasing organization and also run day activities and senior meetings in-house.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are engaged, responsible, and have a genuine interest in elderly care. Here, you will become part of the Authority Department and contribute to legally secure authority processes, ensuring the right decisions are made at the right time.

As a Social Worker (Biståndshandläggare), you will work with investigating, assessing, and deciding on interventions according to the Social Services Act. Processing of national travel services is also included. The role involves following up decisions with both the individual and home care providers. You must be able to provide clear information, conduct structured investigations, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who wants to develop together with the operations, contributes with their competence and experience, and thrives both working independently and together with colleagues. A good approach and a service-oriented work style are crucial.

Qualifications

You have a degree in Social Work or another higher education qualification considered equivalent. Experience from authority work within elderly care is meritorious. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have good knowledge of the target group. Experience with Pulsen Combine and IBIC is desirable.

You collaborate well, work in a structured manner, and can analyze and solve problems in a professional way.
