We are looking for you who want to take on an important assignment – to be a personal assistant for a man in his 70s who lives with a back injury, uses a wheelchair, and resides in Norrtälje. Sports and woodworking are major interests, as well as cooking, crafts, home decoration, and plants.

This is a role where presence, sensitivity, and responsibility are crucial. You will work closely with him and adapt the support to his needs, daily condition, and wishes. As a personal assistant, you will become part of a small circle around him, where continuity and trust are in focus. Your contribution enables him to live his life based on his own conditions and maintain as much independence as possible.

The work includes everything from care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various aids, and assistance with activities. The workplace is in his home and wherever he is located. Working hours are scheduled during both day and evening times, as well as one weekend per month. We would appreciate it if you could also work with short notice when needed, e.g., due to illness.

Since you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for and by your specific user, good work ethic is important, where everyone supports each other. You need to be available during the summer and holiday periods.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We prefer that you, as an applicant, have a flexible and independent working style and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should have good competence in documentation and a professional attitude. You have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people.

Other desirable qualities include a good mood, calmness, patience, and being responsible. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish, as this is a job where good communication is very important. Experience in personal assistance is a significant advantage.

Since we value our customers' safety and security, we have a routine of obtaining criminal record extracts for all persons employed by the company. This means that upon employment, we will request a register extract from you before you start working.
