Responsibilities
As Unit Manager, you lead a unit consisting of 13 recruitment consultants, two HR administrators, and a specialist working on the organization's employer brand. Together, you are responsible for providing qualified recruitment support to managers across Region Västmanland and contributing to the region's long-term competence supply.
You exercise close and present leadership, leading, coaching, and developing both employees and the work group. You create conditions for good collaboration, high engagement, and continuous competence development. The role is both strategic and operational. In addition to the overall responsibility for operations, economy, work environment, and employees, you also have an operational role where you may, if necessary, drive recruitment assignments yourself. We are therefore looking for someone with a genuine interest in recruitment who wants to continue developing the recruitment area together with their employees.
You drive the development of the unit's working methods, translate strategic decisions into practical action, and collaborate both internally and externally to strengthen Region Västmanland's competence supply and attractiveness as an employer.
About the Workplace
The HR Centre is Region Västmanland's strategic and operational HR function and consists of four units: HR and Recruitment Support, Planning and Development, Pay, Pension and System Support, and Negotiations.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an academic degree in HR, personnel science, behavioral science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience in qualified recruitment work and experience working with competency-based recruitment. Experience from a larger or politically governed organization is meritorious.
You have documented experience of leadership, preferably as a manager with personnel responsibility, and feel confident leading both employees and operations. You have knowledge of labor law, collective agreements, and collaboration, and work in a consultative and operationally close manner. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
As a person, you are a secure and courageous leader who creates engagement and drive. You are unpretentious, operationally close, and thrive in an operational role where you are present and contribute when the situation requires it. Through your good communication skills, you build trusting relationships and create good collaboration with employees, managers, and other partners. You are driven by development, see opportunities for improvement, and turn ideas into concrete results.
Terms of Employment
Permanent full-time position. Start date by agreement.
A work sample is included as part of the recruitment process.
