About your role

Åhléns Västerås is one of our newest department stores. Here you will meet many different customers, creating great opportunities to develop the business, test initiatives, and create strong customer experiences. Here you will have a role where you can both influence the results and put your own stamp on the department store.

You have overall responsibility for the department store's results, team, and development, ensuring that campaigns and activities are carried out with high quality. At the same time, you build a culture where service, engagement, and business acumen are at the center.

In the role of Department Store Manager, you will:

• Be an ambassador and create the best customer experience in your department store.
• Develop a well-functioning team that is passionate about Åhléns and sales through coaching and present leadership.
• Deliver results in line with the department store's goals and key figures based on business acumen.
• Actively participate in, evaluate, interpret, and communicate relevant information within the department store to employees.
• Be responsible for safety and working environment activities for the department store.
• Work in accordance with Åhléns' sustainability goals.

You work towards annual, monthly, and daily goals for sales and customer satisfaction, and convene and lead workplace meetings, sales planning, and union collaboration.

In the department store, you will become part of a passionate team consisting of Sales Associates, Sales Managers, and Visual Merchandisers. In addition to the employees in the store, you also have an HR Partner and a Regional Manager as your closest support and manager.

What you bring to us:

• At least a few years of experience in a leading position in sales, preferably within retail.
• Documented successful experience in leading other employees and developing teams.
• Experience in driving work towards set goals with good results.

About the recruitment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment of 38.25 hours per week. We would like you to start with us as soon as possible.
