What we offer

With us, you get more than just a job – you become part of a culture where collaboration, development, and innovation are at the center. At the Floby plant, Volvo Cars manufactures important components for the automotive industry, combining long experience with modern technology to deliver world-class products. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with colleagues from various parts of the business, participate in exciting projects, and contribute to cutting-edge technology development. We invest in competence development, knowledge sharing, and an inclusive climate where everyone has a voice. Working hours are primarily scheduled in 2-shifts, but 4-shifts or day shifts may also occur.

What you will do

As a Maintenance Technician, you work operationally close to production, preventing and resolving operational disruptions on machines and equipment. You perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, and actively contribute to identifying and implementing improvement measures to increase operational reliability. You collaborate with operators and other functions to ensure smooth production and high quality. You are a key knowledge holder and are eager to share your expertise with colleagues and team members around you.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Participating in projects, improvement work, and modifications as needed.
  • Documenting performed work and reporting deviations according to procedures.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and operators to spread knowledge and ensure the best possible operation.
  • Contributing to a safe, efficient, and inclusive work climate.

You and your skills

To succeed in the role of Maintenance Technician, we see that you have a technical high school education with experience in electricity, automation, or mechanics, and you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You are accustomed to troubleshooting, repairing, and documenting, and your technical curiosity and initiative mean that you not only solve problems – you prevent them and see opportunities for improvements.

You are responsible and have a strong safety mindset, are flexible, and capable of handling rapid changes. You are a humble team player who thrives in collaboration but can also take independent responsibility and drive issues forward. Your willingness to contribute with engagement and knowledge is central – both for your own development and for strengthening the team around you. Experience with automated assembly equipment and/or CNC machines is desirable. Knowledge of Siemens control systems, ABB robots, Vision systems, or mechanical restoration is a plus.
