RESPONSIBILITIES

The Water and Wastewater (VA) operations are embarking on an exciting development journey. To meet future requirements for safe drinking water supply, sustainable sewage management, climate adaptation, and increased robustness, we are undergoing an organizational change that will strengthen the operations in the long term.

As part of this development, we are now looking for an Operations Manager Electricity who wants to take a key role in leading, developing, and coordinating work within the electricity sector. The position combines leadership, technical responsibility, and operational development within a socially vital function.

The VA operations are responsible for:

• Ensuring access to safe drinking water in accordance with the Swedish Food Agency's requirements.
• Handling and treating wastewater in accordance with current environmental requirements and permits.
• Managing stormwater in a sustainable and climate-adapted manner.
• Planning, building, operating, and maintaining VA infrastructure.
• Developing operations to meet future needs, legal requirements, and technical challenges.
• Ensuring long-term economic sustainability and a good working environment.
• The operations are affected by increased demands on security, digitalization, and regulatory compliance, including new EU directives and security requirements such as NIS2.

About the role

As Operations Manager Electricity, you have personnel and working environment responsibility for the electricity department, delegated from the VA Manager. You are responsible for planning, leading, and following up on daily work while contributing to the long-term development of the operations. You will also have the role of responsible person for electrical installations regarding regulatory compliance.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Lead, distribute, and follow up on work within the electricity department.
• Have personnel and working environment responsibility for employees within the electricity sector.
• Receive, prioritize, plan, and distribute incoming work orders.
• Serve as a key link between the operations' different functions and contribute to good collaboration.
• Be responsible for and develop work in IDUS, the operations' maintenance system.
• Ensure that electrical installations and systems meet current laws, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Be responsible for the self-control program within the electricity sector.
• Participate in investment, maintenance, renovation, and new construction projects from idea to finished facility.
• Communicate technical solutions and issues to various target groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a background in electricity, automation, industrial operations, or other relevant technical operations and who want to combine technical knowledge with leadership.

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

• Have experience in leading, coordinating, or planning operations and personnel.
• Have good knowledge of electrical installations, electrical systems, and relevant legislation.
• Are structured and have the ability to prioritize and create order in an operation with many parallel tasks.
• Have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships.
• Can communicate technical issues in a clear and pedagogical manner.
• Work independently, take responsibility, and drive the work forward.

Experience from VA operations, process industry, energy operations, or other socially vital infrastructure is meritorious.
