To the group working with traffic and traffic-related issues, we are now looking for a Traffic Engineer who wants to contribute to our continued development. In this role, you will work with challenging traffic issues in an exciting and dynamic environment. You will become an important part of our work with urban development, detailed planning, and infrastructure investments, where you contribute technical expertise in traffic systems, traffic safety, and accessibility. Together with colleagues and relevant stakeholders, you will drive development projects from idea to implementation, as well as handle current traffic issues that make a difference here and now.

Job Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be:

• To design and develop traffic solutions for the municipality's streets and public spaces.
• To collaborate with other specialists within urban development and community planning to create sustainable, safe, and accessible traffic environments.

As a representative of the municipality's traffic function, you are responsible for driving and monitoring technical issues in projects, consultations, and planning processes. The role involves many contact surfaces, both internally within the municipality and externally with consultants, contractors, authorities, and the public. The role offers good opportunities to influence, and you will have great freedom under responsibility. We are looking for someone who is engaged, self-motivated, and has a desire to contribute to the development of Kungälv. Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant education in the traffic field, preferably university level.
• Experience working in the traffic field.
• Ability to plan and structure your work efficiently and take responsibility both independently and in a group.
• Good knowledge of current regulations and standards in the traffic field.
• Experience handling traffic issues in connection with urban development and planning.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of and experience with CAD drawings is desirable.
• Experience from a similar position.

Personal qualities are highly valued.
