The Swedish Armed Forces are expanding, and infrastructure is a fundamental prerequisite for growth and development. This role gives you the opportunity to be part of an engaged team developing the Armed Forces' infrastructure. We are looking for you who have a natural drive, strong initiative-taking ability, and are good at building relationships. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop while contributing to the agency and Sweden's development journey. Does this sound like something for you?

Local Planning Unit West (LplE V)

LplE V is part of the Swedish Armed Forces (FM). We represent the FM as the client towards the Fortification Administration (FORTV) and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), and we are responsible for the open infrastructure within Military Region West (MR West). MR West covers Halland, Bohuslän, Västra Götaland, Dalsland, Värmland, and Örebro counties/regions. We at LplE V, Division Central, are now looking for a case officer based in Såtenäs.

The division handles premises supply for the military units in MR West and is an important part of the growth through the procurement of premises and facilities. LplE is responsible for garrison planning, new construction/renovation (procurement), management (maintenance), and decommissioning of land and premises. LplE also supports the headquarters with data for planning and operational tasks, as well as the development of governing documents.

We offer exciting, multifaceted, and developing work, active wellness activities, and partly flexible working hours. Our employees are important to us, and we care that staff achieve a good balance between work and private life.

Responsibilities

The Infrastructure Case Officer projects objects primarily within the management phase, renovation, and extension, but also in smaller new procurements. You may also come to project lead parts of more extensive projects as part of a combined team under a main case officer/project manager. You are responsible for the coordination between the Fortification Administration, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, and the operations in the projects and cases you handle. This can span from the early stages to handover, and in that role, you act as the client representative towards the Fortification Administration and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration.

As a case officer, you are responsible for preparing needs assessments and supporting the work during the design and construction phases. The role also involves coordinating contacts with various units within the Swedish Armed Forces as well as relevant authorities.

The work involves, among other things, leading project groups, which entails extensive personal contacts and some travel (including overnight stays). On the unit, you are part of a working group consisting of other infrastructure case officers, object managers, and managers with whom you have continuous dialogue. In Division Central, you are part of the team responsible primarily for Såtenäs, but other locations may also be relevant.

Requirements

  • An academic degree from a construction, civil engineering, or property-focused university or civil engineering program, or equivalent as assessed by the employer. It is also possible that you have work experience assessed as equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of current and relevant work experience from the construction or property industry.
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission).
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.

Personal Qualities

The role requires that you have many contacts both internally and externally; therefore, it is important that you are good at collaborating and building good relationships. You are responsible, humble, and a team player. You are structured, independent, and flexible. You thrive in a work environment where one works according to clear processes and towards clear goals, while also being solution-oriented and creative when needed.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Previous current and relevant experience from work in the public sector.
  • Previous current and relevant experience of project management within the construction or property industry.

For the agency to be successful in its mission, it is expected that all employees adhere to the Swedish Armed Forces' value base.
