The Social Services Administration in Askersund Municipality is responsible for elderly care, LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and care operations, social psychiatry, operations for unaccompanied refugee children, as well as individual and family care.

We are now seeking two experienced case workers for our unit – one for a permanent position and one for a maternity leave replacement.

DUTIES

As a case worker here, you are the gateway to healthcare and social care, responsible for investigating, assessing, deciding on, and following up on interventions for persons over 18 years of age according to the Social Services Act.

We work continuously to ensure legally secure, gender-equal, and equitable exercise of authority. Legal security permeates the entire case processing process, and our goal is to provide the right intervention to the right person at the right time.

The work requires a responsive and professional attitude towards our citizens. You collaborate closely with other professions, operations, and authorities and actively contribute to developing cooperation regarding the individual.

In your work, you base your actions on knowledge, proven experience, current legislation, as well as applicable guidelines and routines. You make decisions according to the delegation order and are responsible for ensuring that documentation and case processing maintain high quality.

We work actively with operational development and would be pleased if you contributed to working groups, development projects, and improvement processes. By your side, you have a Senior Case Worker who supports and coaches you in your daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Social Work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience in exercising authority within healthcare and social care.
• Good knowledge of current legislation and case processing procedures within the field of operation.
• Experience in investigation, case processing, and documentation.
• Experience working according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus).
• Good ability to make independent decisions and take responsibility for your assignment.
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Category B driver's license.

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and capable of driving multiple processes simultaneously. You are confident in your professional role and can plan, prioritize, and adapt your work based on the operation's needs.

You are unpretentious, flexible, and solution-oriented, and you have an easy time building trusting and sustainable relationships. You communicate clearly and have good collaboration skills both internally and externally.

We work in a politically governed organization, and it is important that you understand what this entails and how it affects the operation and daily work.

Salary: Monthly salary.
