We are hiring more employees and developing our processes and methods to perform our duties in the best possible way. We are now looking for psychologists for our assessment unit in Malmö.

As a psychologist with us, you will conduct occupational psychological assessments by interviewing, evaluating, and testing individuals liable for total defense service during conscription, as well as individuals seeking education and employment primarily within the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Police Authority.

At the assessment units, physicians, psychologists, nurses, and administrators work together with our case handlers. As a psychologist with us, you will conduct occupational psychological assessments by interviewing and evaluating individuals. Our working methods are based on scientific foundations and proven experience, which means we conduct high-quality assessments to guarantee the right person in the right place with the right responsibilities. Competence development occurs continuously through internal training.

You will work independently based on our established methods, guidelines, and manuals, while your work is part of a joint assessment chain. Therefore, it is important that you thrive with structured work content and methods as part of a shared task.

We continuously work with follow-up as well as method and operational development.

There may be occasions where you are required to participate in the agency's operations in other locations for shorter periods.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are

  • a psychologist with a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen)

It is an advantage if you have experience with

  • conducting clinical assessments
  • working with treatment or investigation based on standardized methods
  • working with selection processes

Your personal qualities

We want you to be responsible and work meticulously. You have a good ability to collaborate well with people around you. It is important to us that you can act independently in your professional role by making your own assessments and decisions based on them. You have good communication skills and an understanding that people have different prerequisites for absorbing information. You can easily adapt to changed circumstances, consider the broader perspective, see the big picture, and act in the best interest of the operation.

About the employment

We have the opportunity to offer:

  • A permanent full-time position (100 percent) starting with a probationary period, commencing on January 21, 2027.
  • A temporary position with a planned start date of January 21, 2027, and permanent thereafter, but no later than December 31, 2027.

On January 25, 2027, participation in our two-week internal training in interview and assessment techniques begins. A passing grade on the training is required to work in the operation.

Due to the nature of the operation, you cannot work from home, but we hope this will instead contribute to a clearer division between work and leisure. You will have the opportunity to train during working hours and receive a favorable wellness allowance.
