Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home help services, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

We are looking for a dietitian who wants to help develop the organization's quality work within diet and nutrition. This is a role where we work together in a structured and systematic way to achieve the best quality. Through your work, you contribute to the importance of diet and nutrition issues for health and quality of life, thereby creating increased competence regarding these issues in the operations. The work involves cross-professional collaboration with MAS (Medical and Social Committee), MAR (Medication and Care Review), operation managers, unit managers, nurses, care staff, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

Job Responsibilities

As a Municipal Dietitian, you are responsible for training and convening the diet representatives in our operations. You will serve as an advisory support. Your assignment includes developing and creating materials to facilitate the implementation of methods. You will also conduct regular quality measurements of meals and overnight fasting.

  • Organize further training for care staff and licensed personnel.
  • Provide operational support to the municipality's operations within Social Care.
  • Work with the development and implementation of routines, methods, and tools within food, meals, and nutrition.
  • Develop web-based training aimed at staff in care within special housing and ordinary housing, as well as disability and social psychiatry.
  • Organize basic training for new diet representatives.

The role of Municipal Dietitian requires a good ability to monitor the external environment and stay updated on legislation, national guidelines, as well as international and national research. The position also includes participating in local, regional, and national networks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are pedagogical, structured, and have good collaboration skills. You are proactive, work independently, and enjoy developing operations together with others. You have a great interest in and knowledge of diet and nutrition and wish to work with advising and developing nutrition issues within both ordinary housing, special housing, disability services, and social psychiatry.

Requirements

  • Licensed Dietitian.
  • Eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a licensed dietitian.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Good computer skills.
  • B-driver's license.

Meritorious

  • Experience in municipal healthcare.
  • Experience with diet and nutrition for the elderly.
  • Experience of collaboration in a multiprofessional team.
  • Experience in training staff and driving development and quality work within diet and nutrition.
