About the workplace

Romares Foundation Care Home is beautifully located by Pålsjö forest. Those of us who work here include nursing assistants, kitchen assistants, cleaners, caretakers, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, planners, administrators, and unit managers. Job responsibilities

As a nursing assistant with us, you work to enable the individual to live as independent a life as possible. You have a health-promoting perspective and work to ensure that our residents can retain their functions for as long as possible.

Your tasks include carrying out measures regarding care, nursing, and service. This may, for example, involve providing support during meals, which also includes kitchen duties, ensuring the individual receives help with personal hygiene, social interaction, working with activities both individually and in groups, and performing delegated HSL (Health, Care, and Social Services) measures such as exercise interventions, medication handover, and wound dressing changes.

Other common tasks include documenting in our journal system and participating in team meetings where issues concerning the residents are discussed.

Your role also includes being a contact person, where you have a special responsibility to ensure that your residents receive what they need and are entitled to. Creating a good relationship with relatives is also a natural part of your work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and to succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge and experience of working with individuals with cognitive impairment. Aggressive behavior occurs, which means you need to have experience from working with low-affective handling.

Furthermore, you need to be confident in your documentation skills, comfortable using various digital aids, and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You clearly show that you both want to and have the knowledge required to take full responsibility for the HSL tasks available in the operations.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with our quality registers Senior Alert and BPSD.

You are a flexible person who adapts easily, e.g., when working across departmental boundaries. You both want to and can work in a team and see good collaboration as a success factor in your work. From experience, you know how important it is to meet each individual based on their needs and wishes, and you have the ability to perceive needs even when the individual cannot express them themselves.
