About the Role

Olink - Part of Thermo Fisher Scientific has grown explosively in recent years and has made its mark globally in a short time. As a Laboratory Technician, you will become part of an engaged and cross-functional team that plays a vital role in creating the right conditions for continued production. The group is responsible for the daily manufacturing of conjugates, bulks, controls, and reagent solutions, as well as developing and improving production processes. In addition to ongoing production, the team works on introducing new products, improvement initiatives, and solving challenges that arise in daily operations to ensure stable and efficient production.

In this role, you will work both practically in the laboratory through careful pipetting, weighing, and handling of automated systems, while also being responsible for documentation, calculations, and reporting according to current quality requirements. You will also participate in equipment qualification and pilot production, giving you a varied daily routine with good opportunities for development.

You will become part of a tight-knit team characterized by great engagement, high competence, and a strong willingness to help each other. The role also involves close collaboration with several other functions within Olink, such as Supply Chain, R&D, PMO, Engineering, and QA, giving you a broad network and good insight into the entire production chain.

This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Olink. The assignment will be full-time and is expected to last at least until the turn of the year. There are very good chances of extension, provided there is room for it and all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture conjugates, bulks, controls, and reagent solutions according to current instructions and methods
  • Perform laboratory work such as pipetting small volumes, weighing, and working in automated production systems
  • Document production, perform calculations, and report and review results
  • Participate in equipment qualification, pilot production, and improvement work
  • Collaborate with internal functions such as Supply Chain, R&D, PMO, Engineering, and QA to ensure efficient and high-quality production

We are looking for you who

  • Have a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience
  • Have experience from QC labs and/or manufacturing of laboratory reagents or similar operations
  • Have good experience with careful laboratory work, including pipetting small volumes (down to 10 µl)
  • Have very good computer and system skills
  • Are very comfortable with Swedish and English in both speech and writing, as this is required to perform the work

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have

  • Worked with improvement initiatives in a laboratory or production environment
