About Us

Do you want to work for an authority that makes a difference in society and offers meaningful and interesting tasks within trade and customs administration? If so, the Swedish Customs Authority (Tullverket) is for you.

The Swedish Customs Authority's operational activities are divided into four departments: control, collection, intelligence, and customs crime.

The Collection Department has a broad mandate within three areas of operation: permits, post-clearance checks, and collection monitoring. The operational work of the Collection Department is carried out within four units with flexible groups that work with the department's entire mandate but are specialized according to operational needs.

We are now looking for case officers for the Collection Department in the West Unit, based in Gothenburg.

About the Position

As a case officer, you will work with several tasks related to permits and collection monitoring, either simultaneously or alternately. The operations are largely demand-driven, requiring flexibility from the case officer and the ability to switch between different tasks. The complexity of the tasks varies, ranging from simpler case handling to independent assessment and investigation based on legislation.

The permit operations involve reviewing and investigating permit applications as well as monitoring already issued permits. Collection monitoring involves ensuring that companies and private individuals comply with customs regulations. This is done, among other things, through checks of customs declarations and settlement notices. The work is carried out both independently and in groups and involves extensive contact with companies, agents, private individuals, and other authorities. Company visits are also part of the role.

The position requires flexibility and problem-solving skills to handle new issues and situations in a changing operation. Developing internal routines and improving working methods is a natural part of the job. Case handling is performed in several systems.
